One of the most appealing aspects of Tala Collection Game Reserve is its ease of accessibility, coming to or from Durban – although, once here, you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away from everything. Spanning some 3000 hectares, this malaria-free wildlife sanctuary is located in the hills of a peaceful farming community.
The landscapes are characterized by a mix of acacia thornveld, open grassland and sensitive wetland, providing exceptional game and bird viewing opportunities. Tala is home to more than 380 bird species, as well as big game like Rhino, Kudu, Hippo, Giraffe and other plains game. Plant species found in this area include the Fiery Aloe, the imposing Euphorbia and fragrant Wild Sage.
Tala Collection Game Reserve is an excellent destination to choose for celebrating special occasions, or simply relax and enjoy some pampering. In this picture perfect setting, guests are able to escape from the hurried pace of modern life, to a place devoid of stress and crowds. Guests can also explore the reserve on guided game drives and segways.

Day visitors are welcome. Activities include game drives, paintball, archery, segways, mountain biking and so much more offering you the perfect opportunity to tap into your inner adventurer. There are picnic and braai areas surrounding the impressive rock pools swimming area. Picnic Baskets can be pre-ordered.
